I had the opportunity to volunteer with a friend!
He invited me to a bar conversation and I accepted the idea the next day! We did not know much what to expect, just carrying a lot of willingness to help, some donations and money raised through a kitty between friends and family. In addition to being accommodated on site, we were able to collaborate with improvements in the structure of the place (painting, new lighting, layout of classrooms, new double beds with mattresses and blankets) We also collaborated with day routines (getting water and filling the house's reservoir, buying gas and charcoal for cooking, peeling food to prepare food, serving lunch for the children who studied it) In addition we gave classes for the older children, who already understood English. Different classes were always our intention, but following the teaching schedule. Some outings were also made, such as the unforgettable day that we took the kids to movie theatres with right to popcorn and soda! Donations such as toiletries and food were also made. Today I carry affection for all the children and people I met there! Fabio From Brazil
